HireKill spent 11 days in the historic mountain village/museum of Fikardou, treating the museum for woodworm. The whole uninhabited village has been restored by the Department of Antiquities and declared an “Ancient Monument”. But the bamboo roofing of the various stone buildings that make up the museum had been infested with woodworm. We used the Thermokil system to safely treat the location, protecting this historic site for the enjoyment of future generations.

The village has received the Europa Nostra Award. The award is given to places of cultural heritage in Europe.
